Olamide’s ‘Wo’ Video Faces Impending Ban From Federal Government
“Smokers are liable to die young” this is one warning the Federal Ministry of Health has always advised its public and they are not ready to spare the rod on any person that is perceived to violate that saying or even encourage smokers to continue this act by promoting it, hence they have issued a statement against the video of Olamide’s ‘Wo’, a song that seems to be one of the best releases of Olamide that speaks to his fans in the hood and they are presently rocking like no tomorrow.
This announcement of ‘Wo’ violating the Tobacco Control Act was made on Friday the 18th of August through the twitter handle of the Federal Ministry of Health where they clearly stated that;
Now, this development is coming off as a shock to Nigerians and fans of Olamide who are enjoying the song and found nothing wrong with the video which mirrors the street life, which is being realistic is true to what the video represents. But from the tweets by the Federal Ministry of Health, there is a possibility that the video might be banned as it has been stated to be contracting the Tobacco Control Act.
According to some Twitter users, Nigeria has more pressing issues than Olamide’s Wo video, and one of the stated issues is the alleged failing health system of the country which Twitter users believe should first be addressed before they start paying attention to issues in a music 6.6k music video of Baddosneh.
