Federal Government has declared Monday, June 12, 2023, as Public Holiday.

The Permanent Secretary, Dr Oluwatoyin Akinlade made this annoucement on behalf of Federal Government. this is to remember and celebrate 2023 Democracy Day. Dr. Akinlade applud Nigerians for standing strong for democracy even though the country has been passig through difficult times. He still mentioned that we should gather and celebrate the little good things that has happened in the country as we expect a better future.

Labour threatens strike over fuel subsidy

The Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress have threatened to embark on strike the incoming administration of the President-elect Bola Tinubu over removal of fuel subsidy. however,they said the only condition, not to go on strike is the revitalisation of government refineries across the country and allowance of modular refineries.

Ambali, the national treasurer of the NLC, stated this in a recent interview in Abuja. “We are opposed to the removal of fuel subsidy until the Nigerian government acts responsibly by fixing our moribund refineries,” he stated. 'cookieOptions = {...};'

South Korea eliminates Nigeria out of the Fifa Under-20 World Cup

Nigeria Under-20 team, the Flying Eagles are eliminated from the ongoing Fifa World Cup as South Korea beat them 1-0 in the quarter finals fixture after Extra-time .
